Job summary
Invenergy, headquartered in Chicago, seeks a Civil Project Engineer to support development through construction of utility-scale energy projects. You will lead civil/structural design efforts, review geotechnical considerations, and collaborate across disciplines to optimize costs and improve project estimates.
The role requires a Civil/Structural/Geotechnical background, knowledge of codes, and experience with design packages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in civil/structural/geotechnical/environmental or related field.
- Master’s degree is a plus for preferred qualifications.
- Experience with civil/structural building codes and design standards.
- Experience delivering desktop and site engineering packages.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Support civil/structural design for utility-scale energy projects.
- Review and develop site grading, earthwork calculations, and foundations.
- Collaborate with electrical/transmission teams on project packages.
- Review SWPPP, hydrology studies, and structural design for compliance.
- Provide technical input to cost estimates and schedules.
