Job summary

Jobot is hiring a Project Engineer in Elgin, IL for a permanent, on-site role. You will support Project Managers through all phases, manage RFIs and submittals, coordinate with subs and design professionals, and assist with scheduling and budget tracking.

Qualifications include 1–3 years in construction project engineering and a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Procore/Viewpoint experience and strong communication are required; OSHA-10 is preferred, OSHA-30 a plus.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in construction project engineering or related role.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Familiarity with Procore, Viewpoint, or similar PM software.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; able to balance field and office work.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred; OSHA 30 a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers through all phases from preconstruction to closeout.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers to keep on schedule and on budget.
• Assist with scheduling, cost tracking, and budget reporting using project management software.
• Attend owner, architect, and subcontractor meetings; document minutes and action items.
• Conduct field observations and assist with quality control and site documentation.
• Support estimating and bidding efforts on new projects as needed.
