Roc Search is partnering with an established civil engineering firm to recruit a Civil Project Engineer for land development in Arlington, VA. The role blends technical design with growing ownership and a path into project management.

You’ll work across residential, commercial, and mixed-use sites, taking projects from early design through permitting and construction, with a flexible hybrid work model. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $130,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 4+ years of land development or site civil experience.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Grading, drainage, stormwater, erosion control, and utility design.
• Producing site development and construction plans in Civil 3D.
• Coordinating with clients, local agencies, architects, surveyors, and contractors.
• Supporting project schedules, budgets, proposals, and permitting.
• Reviewing technical work and mentoring junior team members.
• Growing into more client-facing and project management responsibilities.
