Job summary

Timmons Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II or III to contribute to land development projects, from residential neighborhoods to commercial developments. The role focuses on designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater using Civil 3D and CAD tools, along with preparing construction documents and reports.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering, 2+ years of land development experience, and preferably an EIT certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
• Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
• Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
• Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
• Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
• Supporting field inspections and data collection.
• Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
