Job summary

Bolton & Menk, Inc. in the North Carolina coast region is seeking a Project Engineer, PE to join our Land Development team. You will apply your civil engineering experience to help foster safe, sustainable and beautiful communities for coastal municipalities.

This role involves collaboration with project managers, design and construction oversight, and opportunities for growth within a Top Workplace. A driving license and willingness to travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina.
• 4+ years' progressive experience in civil engineering, including land development.
• Experience in plan and specification development with design/construction contract administration.
• High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of local site permitting processes and requirements.
• Valid driver's license; travel may be required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not provided.
• Professional Engineer (required).
• CIVIL3D (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple site engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction.
• Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations.
• Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
• Read, interpret and prepare site engineering plans, specifications and reports.
• Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members.
• May assist with business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.).
• Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.
