Job summary

Timmons Group in Richmond, VA is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group. This role works on routine and complex structures including bridges, buildings, renewable energy projects and ancillary structures.

Responsibilities include design, rehabilitation, load ratings, and supporting scope, schedule, and budget development. Collaboration across teams and opportunities to contribute to client deliverables are key aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 2+ years of experience in structural and/or bridge design
• PE License is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications, AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, and NCDOT standards
• Proficiency in structural design software
• Experience with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD for plan development
• NBIS bridge inspection certification is a plus

Compensation

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position is $82,000-$90,000. This position is eligible for straight-time overtime. There may be flexibility on salary for experienced candidates. Offers are based on a range of job-related factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials role complexity.
