Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Structures and Bridge Design Group in Richmond, VA. Remote work options are available for qualified candidates, with a focus on renewable energy and innovative structural design.

The role offers collaborative teamwork and opportunities to contribute to projects from concept through delivery. Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Structural engineering degree (Master’s preferred) and 2+ years of solar structure design experience, plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
2+ years of experience in solar structure design.
PE License is a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in structural design software, especially LPile, Mathcad, and Excel.
Experience using AutoCAD for plan development.
Familiarity with Excel/AutoCAD interoperability for creating pile plot plans is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design steel piles and steel connections for a variety of structural applications.
Develop cast-in-place concrete slab designs.
Apply knowledge of renewable energy systems and terminology to structural design.
Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Support project and task management activities.
Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development.
