Job summary

Timmons Group in Columbia, SC is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Land Development team. The role involves designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater using Civil 3D and other CAD tools.

You will collaborate with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers on residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects, perform calculations, prepare specs, and contribute to cost estimates and field data collection.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in land development engineering (residential, commercial, or mixed-use).
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and CAD software.
• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater using Civil 3D and modeling tools.
• Perform engineering calculations and resolve design challenges.
• Prepare technical specs and construction documents.
• Prepare objective reports to support project completion.
• Assist with cost estimates and construction planning.
• Support field inspections and data collection.
• Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers.
