Job summary

Gianfia Corp. is seeking a Project Engineer to support heavy highway, bridge, and civil infrastructure delivery across Westchester and NYC-area projects. You will coordinate technical documents and track quantities, collaborating with owners' engineers, field teams, and vendors from startup through closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 1 year of hands-on experience in heavy highway or civil construction (internships count).
• Proficient with MS Excel/Word/Outlook.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to local sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage RFIs, submittals, and shop drawing logs with the owner's engineer.
• Compute field quantities and prepare monthly pay requisitions and progress estimates.
• Assist with change order pricing and time-and-material tracking.
• Support CPM schedule updates using Primavera P6 or MS Project and three-week look-ahead planning.
• Review plans and contract documents to identify constructability conflicts.
• Coordinate day-to-day operations with superintendents, land surveyors, labs, and vendors.
• Prepare final as-built drawings, punch lists, and quantity reconciliations at closeout.
