Job summary

Civilworks New England is seeking a Project Engineer to manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion, including site layout, grading, and drainage design. You will prepare construction documents and ensure adherence to codes while coordinating with architects, MEP, and structural teams.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of site/civil production, a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, and an EIT (or ability to obtain within 6 months); a P.E. in Civil Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • 3–5 years site/civil production, subdivision design and permitting.
  • EIT required or to be obtained within 6 months.
  • P.E. in Civil Engineering preferred or eligible.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Carlson, Civil3D; MS Office suite.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Prepare contracts, change orders, and coordinate with sub-contractors.
  • Conduct site visits, produce plans, calculations and reports.
  • Coordinate with sub-consultants and authorities; manage budgets and schedules.
  • Respond to RFIs and submittals; support design development phases.
  • Lead multi-discipline team coordination and ensure code compliance.
