Job summary

CPH, a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architectural design firm in Linthicum Heights, MD, has an opening in its Civil/Municipal department for a Civil/Environmental Engineer. The role involves working under a Professional Engineer to design and prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction documents, plus permit applications and coordination with clients and agencies.

A BS in civil/environmental engineering and 1–5 years of MD experience are required; CAD experience is desirable,

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience in design and permitting of civil/land development projects in Maryland.
• E.I. Certification or ability to obtain upon starting.

Responsibilities

• Work under a Professional Engineer as part of a design team.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, and construction documents.
• Prepare permit applications and submittal packages for applicable agencies.
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, permitting agencies, and utilities.
• Travel periodically for site investigations and construction observation.
• Prepare specifications, shop drawings, field observations, and inspection reports.
