Job summary

Alta Environmental & Infrastructure is seeking a production-focused Civil Project Engineer to support land development and infrastructure projects across Arizona. This role is ideal for an entry-level Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or a design professional with several years of relevant experience working toward EIT eligibility.

The selected candidate will work closely with engineers and project managers to prepare detailed civil engineering plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with EIT (or ability to obtain within 6 months) or 5+ years of experience in civil design.
• EIT certification (or ability to obtain) is preferred within 6 months.
• Experience with land development or infrastructure projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and prepare civil site plans, grading & drainage plans, and utilities using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist in hydrologic and hydraulic analysis with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and Hydraflow tools.
• Utilize Bluebeam for markup and review of design documents.
• Collaborate with engineers and PMs to meet project specs and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and assist in cost estimates.
• Review plans for accuracy, constructability, and adherence to standards.
