Job summary

CPH in Tampa, FL is seeking a Civil Project Engineer, EIT to join our Community Development team. The role supports project management and design through all project stages, offering hands-on experience in engineering best practices and project management.

Duties include planning, drafting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with standards and regulations. A Bachelor's in Civil Engineering and EI/EIT certification are required, with 2+ years of site design experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of site design experience; municipal project experience is a plus.
• EI/EIT Certification is required.
• Hands-on experience with Civil 3D, grading, drainage, and ICPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project plans including scope, timeframe and budget.
• Prepare and maintain documents such as reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform inspections and quality control to uphold standards.
• Support research and analysis for project design and development.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and regulations.
• Assist in preparation and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure projects meet quality requirements.
• Prepare and present progress reports on project status.
• Design and develop engineering solutions including drafting and drawings.

The Civil Project Engineer supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hand on experience in best engineering practices and project management.

Duties Include

• Assist in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Conducts inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
• Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
• Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
• Design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting, and drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of experience with site design projects; experience with municipal projects is a plus
• Hands on experience with Civil 3D, Grading, Drainage, and ICPR highly preferred
• EI/EIT Certification required
