Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service, collection and/or property management experience.
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid South Dakota Driver’s License within 90 days of moving to South Dakota.

Responsibilities

• Serve civil documents and execute court orders as directed by the Civil Sergeant.
• Manage sheriff’s sales, tax collection, foreclosures, executions and related fees.
• Communicate and coordinate with plaintiffs regarding processes assigned.
• Serve eviction notices and coordinate removal of people and property.
• Maintain professionalism with the public, staff, inmates and other agencies.
• Testify in court as a credible witness when needed.
• Follow county policies and report concerns to supervisor.
