Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a civil estimator in the construction industry.
• Proven take-off & estimating experience for civil projects (excavation, sitework, utilities).
• Proficiency in civil estimating software is preferred (Agtek, Bid-To-Win, HeavyBid, ETC).
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Analyze drawings, specifications, and docs to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Orchestrate estimating & bid processes for civil projects.
• Identify labor, materials, and time requirements by studying proposals and plans.
• Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier quotes.
• Prepare bid packages and present estimates to senior management.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary.
• Provide value engineering recommendations.
• Maintain historical cost data and develop estimating tools.
