Job summary

Fisher Industries seeks a Civil Engineering Construction Materials Testing Technician to sample and test aggregates, asphalt, and concrete for quality. The role requires travel to remote sites within state lines and periodic travel to surrounding states.

You will operate lab equipment, collect data, and ensure accuracy and safety at all times. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, geotechnical experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Geotechnical experience preferred.
• 1 year of lab/field testing on road construction projects preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work in adverse weather.
• Pre-employment drug test required.
• Travel within state lines and to surrounding states as needed.
• ATTI certifications desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform aggregate, asphalt, and/or concrete laboratory testing using approved methods.
• Gather, test and log samples ensuring quality at all stages.
• Perform field testing at project sites under construction.
• Interact professionally with client representatives and co-workers.
• Follow safety policies and complete required safety training.
• Maintain accurate records of testing results.
• Obtain and maintain required certifications.
• Operate nuclear gauge per company procedures.
• Take direction from senior personnel.
• Maintain qualifications to operate company vehicles.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA/MSHA and company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
