Job summary

Adams & Martin Group in Clayton, Missouri seeks an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in a busy litigation practice. The ideal candidate will manage complex case files, assist with discovery, prepare court filings, coordinate trial preparation, and communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation experience in a law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Missouri state court procedures and filing requirements.
• Experience with electronic filing systems and case management software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Adobe Acrobat).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation cases from inception through trial and resolution.
• Draft, file pleadings, motions, notices, subpoenas, and other documents.
• Monitor court deadlines, scheduling orders, and litigation calendars.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigations.
• Organize and summarize records (medical, employment, business, etc.).
• Handle written discovery and deposition preparation; assist with exhibits and witness files.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, and expert engagements.
• Maintain electronic and physical case files and prepare trial notebooks.
