Job summary

Forteza Law PLLC is a Miami-based law firm seeking a diligent paralegal with civil litigation experience to support our attorneys in the Miami office. The role covers all phases of civil litigation from intake to trial, including drafting pleadings, managing case files, and coordinating with clients and courts.

The ideal candidate has paralegal certification or equivalent experience, familiarity with Florida procedures, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a paralegal in civil litigation.
• Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Florida civil procedure and court filing requirements a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with case management and e-filing software.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work on-site at our Miami office (not a remote position).

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation case management
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents under attorney supervision
• Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and evidence
• Calendar deadlines, hearings, and filing dates, and monitor court rules for compliance
• Prepare trial binders and assist with trial preparation and logistics
• Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors as needed
• Conduct legal research to support case strategy
• E-file documents with state and/or federal courts
