Our client, a well-respected East Bay litigation firm, is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney who can independently manage civil litigation matters from strategy through resolution. The position is primarily remote with in-person attendance in the East Bay office about twice per month, as well as for hearings and other case-related needs.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Ability to independently manage cases and develop strategy.
• Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and evidence.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Billable-hour target of 1,650 hours per year.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage civil litigation matters and develop case strategy
• Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents
• Manage discovery and case deadlines
• Take and defend depositions, as appropriate
• Handle hearings, motion practice, and other court appearances
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other parties
• Prepare matters for mediation, settlement, and trial
