Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney in a hybrid role to lead high-exposure catastrophically injurious and complex defense matters in Southern California.

The attorney will manage cases, draft pleadings, and coordinate with clients, carriers, and expert witnesses, with opportunities for first- and second-chair trial experience. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of civil litigation experience, California Bar in good standing, and preferred insurance defense background.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Insurance defense experience preferred.
• Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a team.
• Willingness to travel for depositions and court appearances throughout Southern California.

Responsibilities

• Lead catastrophic personal injury and complex defense litigation.
• Appear in court, manage case strategy and discovery.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
• Take and defend fact and expert depositions.
• Collaborate with clients, carriers, and experts.
• Prepare for trials, including first- and second-chair opportunities.
