Qualifications

• Active license to practice law in Kansas.
• Minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.
• Prior experience in debt collection litigation required.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and courtroom practices.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of civil litigation matters, with emphasis on resolving cases prior to trial.
• Represent clients in court hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Handle all phases of litigation, including case strategy, discovery, and trial preparation.
• Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements on behalf of clients.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including FDCPA, HIPAA, and state collection laws.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance on case handling.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
• Review account documentation and evidence to support legal actions.
• Monitor deadlines and maintain accurate case records.
