The responsibilities include reviewing claims, managing litigations, and supporting trial processes. Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctorate, be admitted to the Missouri Bar, and possess strong communication skills. Qualifications
Must be admitted to the Missouri Bar; admission to Kansas bar is desirable.
Additional licenses in other states where the firm operates are valuable.
Responsibilities
Appear in court on behalf of the firm a minimum of three days per week.
Review new claims for compliance with firm and client standards.
Review and approve pleadings filed with the courts.
Occasionally draft motions and responses for contested matters.
Argue contested motions and conduct trials and arbitrations.
Manage communication with opposing counsel.
Prepare and respond to discovery or oversee counterclaims.
