Goldberg, Miller & Rubin is seeking a civil litigation attorney to join our New Jersey team in auto liability and general liability defense. You will handle cases from inception to resolution, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.

Bar admission in New Jersey or ability to obtain it is required, along with 5+ years of civil litigation experience. We are a regional defense firm with offices in Philadelphia, North Jersey, and Manhattan, committed to providing

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in civil litigation.
• Experience in automobile negligence or premises liability is a plus.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Barred in the state of New Jersey or able to obtain a bar license in New Jersey.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and the day-to-day tasks involved within the cases.
• A strong desire to learn and grow in their legal profession.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal skills to work with senior attorneys, staff, clients, opposing counsel, and the court.

Responsabilités

• Take ownership of cases from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other documents.
• Record and disseminate information for clients.
• Summarize medical records and highlight important information.
• Write reports to clients on case status and next steps.
• Identify, research, and analyze legal issues and conflicting opinions.
• Take and defend depositions, handle arbitrations, and argue motions.
• Attend in-person and virtual court appearances.
• Provide representation to protect clients’ interests in high-exposure litigation.
• Explain litigation processes to clients.
• Move cases toward cost-effective, fair resolutions.
• Juggle multiple assignments and deadlines.
