Goldberg, Miller & Rubin seeks a civil litigation attorney for our Philadelphia team in the general liability practice. This role allows hybrid/remote work based on experience and entails owning cases from inception to resolution.

We handle automotive and trucking negligence, medical malpractice, toxic torts, and other general liability matters. The firm offers competitive benefits and opportunities for growth in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years experience in insurance defense.
• Experience handling depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and complex assignments.
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills.
• Member in good standing with PA, NJ, or NY bar.
• Ability to manage a large caseload and day-to-day tasks.
• Experience billing for your time.

Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, correspondence, memoranda, and other documents.
• Record and disseminate information for clients.
• Summarize medical records and highlight important information.
• Write reports to clients on case status and next steps.
• Identify, research, and analyze legal issues and conflicting opinions.
• Take and defend depositions, handle arbitrations, and argue motions.
• Attend in-person and virtual court appearances.
• Provide legal representation to defend complex, high-exposure litigation.
• Explain litigation to clients and stakeholders.
• Move cases toward cost-effective, fair resolutions.
• Juggle multiple assignments and deadlines.
