Orion Placement seeks a licensed Kansas attorney to manage a varied civil litigation caseload in a private-practice setting in Wichita, KS. The role emphasizes ownership from strategy through resolution and close client collaboration.

You will develop case strategies, conduct research, draft pleadings and motions, and handle hearings, depositions, negotiations, and other litigation tasks with a focus on practical guidance for clients and timely results.

Qualifications

• Active Kansas Bar license in good standing.
• Civil litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to independently manage assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of civil litigation through resolution.
• Develop case strategies, conduct legal research, draft pleadings and motions, and prepare for hearings.
• Communicate directly with clients to understand objectives and provide practical legal guidance.
• Handle discovery, depositions, negotiations, court appearances, and other litigation responsibilities.
• Analyze contracts, business disputes, real estate issues, and related matters.
• Collaborate with colleagues while taking ownership of assigned matters and deadlines.
• Maintain organized case files, meet procedural deadlines, and deliver responsive client service.
• Contribute to a collegial private-practice environment with sound judgment and initiative.

Location

Wichita, KS — on-site. This role is designed for an attorney who enjoys working closely with the team and being part of an established private-practice environment. Limited periods of working from home may be accommodated when personal circumstances require it.

A Kansas Bar license is required. The successful candidate must be genuinely committed to the time, effort, responsiveness, and deadlines required to succeed in private practice.
