Latitude seeks a Washington-licensed attorney with experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters to join its litigation group on a permanent or contract basis. You will have meaningful responsibility, direct ownership over your work, and contribute to active matters in a part-time role.

The position requires strong research, writing, and advocacy skills, and is based in Washington State with potential for contract engagement pricing and benefits under Latitude's program.

Latitude’s client is seeking a Washington-licensed attorney with experience handling a broad range of civil litigation matters to join their litigation group on a permanent or contract basis. This is a highly substantive role offering meaningful responsibility on active matters — you’ll be directly involved in ongoing litigation and given real ownership over your work.

Responsibilities of the Washington Civil Litigation Attorney:

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and strategy
• Collaborate with the litigation group on case strategy and workload management

Position Details of the Washington Civil Litigation Attorney:

• Schedule: Part-time (20-30 hours per week)

Compensation

The annualized compensation range for this role is $175,000–$200,000, plus bonus potential. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position). For candidates hired on a permanent basis, actual salary will be based on similar factors as determined by the hiring firm.

In addition to pay, all Latitude attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage for work or acts or omissions provided within the scope of a Latitude-authorized engagement. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend. Candidates hired on a permanent basis will instead be eligible for the client firm’s standard employee benefits package.
