Job summary

Orion Placement in Los Angeles is seeking a licensed attorney to lead civil litigation matters in a fast-paced, trial-focused environment. You will manage cases from intake through resolution, draft motions, and represent clients in hearings with direct support from a seasoned team.

Qualified candidates hold a California bar license, have 2+ years of substantive civil litigation experience, and are adept at depositions, discovery, and trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Active California bar license required.
• 2+ years of substantive litigation experience, preferably civil.
• Hands-on courtroom experience and familiarity with civil litigation procedures.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Experience with depositions, discovery, and trial preparation is highly valued.
• Ability to independently manage cases while working effectively with a team.
• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters from initial case evaluation through resolution or trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court hearings, conferences, and litigation proceedings.
• Conduct depositions, manage discovery, and prepare witnesses and evidence.
• Develop case strategies and collaborate with colleagues on complex legal matters.
• Prepare cases for mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial.
• Work directly with clients while maintaining high standards of professionalism and responsiveness.

Note
