Job summary

CyberCoders in Jacksonville seeks a Civil Litigation Attorney to join its growing litigation team. You will manage a diverse civil docket, draft pleadings, conduct research, and prepare cases for trial.

Ideal candidates hold a J.D. from an accredited school, Florida Bar in good standing, and 3+ years in civil litigation, with strong writing, research, deposition, and courtroom skills. Ability to work independently within a collaborative firm is essential.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar in good standing.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Experience with commercial litigation, business disputes, professional liability, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse civil litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests/responses.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• Prepare cases for trial including witness prep and exhibits.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on risks and objectives.
• Maintain regular client communication and provide practical guidance.
• Collaborate with partners and staff to deliver client service.
• Stay current on Florida statutes and procedural developments.

• -Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• -Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
• -Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• -Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• -Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
• -Prepare cases for trial, including witness preparation, exhibit management, and trial strategy.
• -Negotiate settlements and advise clients on litigation risks and business objectives.
• -Maintain regular communication with clients while providing practical legal guidance.
• -Collaborate with partners and support staff to deliver exceptional client service.
• -Stay current on Florida statutes, case law, and procedural developments.

Qualifications

• -J.D. from an accredited law school.
• -Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.
• -3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• -Experience handling commercial litigation, business disputes, professional liability, insurance defense, construction litigation, or general civil litigation is highly desirable.

• -Deposition, motion practice, and courtroom experience.
