Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Associate Attorney in St. Louis with at least 5 years of civil litigation experience to join a top Midwest defense firm.

This onsite role offers a competitive salary, bonus potential, and opportunities for growth alongside a strong team of partners. Qualified candidates hold a JD, are admitted to the Missouri Bar, and can manage a diverse docket, conduct legal research, and negotiate favorable settlements.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active State Bar membership in good standing.
• At least 5 years of civil litigation experience.
• Ability to handle diverse civil matters and case load.
• Strong research and writing skills; effective motion practice.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of civil litigation including pre-trial, depositions, discovery, motions, trials and appeals.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategies.
• Negotiate settlements and advise clients on rights and obligations.
• Collaborate with staff to prepare for trial and manage cases.
