Friedman Schuman Layser, P.C. seeks an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of civil litigation experience to join our plaintiff's practice in a fast-paced environment.

You will handle sophisticated, high-value cases in medical malpractice, personal injury, product liability, and more, working directly with clients and experts while gaining trial courtroom experience early in your career.

Qualificações

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Pennsylvania Bar admission required; New Jersey admission preferred.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
• Deposition + Courtroom experience is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Take ownership of complex litigation under mentorship while developing independence.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other filings.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and develop strategies for complex matters.
• Prepare witnesses, take and defend depositions, analyze testimony, and craft strategy.
• Work with clients and experts to develop case themes and relationships.
• Lead mediations, evaluate settlements, and negotiate resolutions.
• Assist in trial preparation, exhibit/witness prep, and motions in limine.
• Gain real courtroom experience toward first/second chair trials and arbitrations.
• Develop your own book of business through mentorship and network access.
