Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to join our Cleveland litigation team. You will handle civil matters from intake to resolution, draft pleadings and briefs, conduct research, and participate in depositions and trials. You will work closely with senior attorneys and gradually take ownership of cases in a collaborative environment.

Requirements include a J.D. from an accredited law school and active Ohio Bar admission.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Ohio Bar admission in good standing.
• 1+ years of civil litigation experience; qualifying judicial clerkship experience considered.
• Strong legal research, writing, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and case management abilities.
• Pennsylvania or West Virginia Bar admission is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a variety of civil litigation matters from initial case assessment through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Work closely with experienced attorneys while taking increasing ownership of cases.
• Communicate directly with clients and help deliver practical, results-driven legal solutions.
