Vernis & Bowling's Atlanta office seeks an Associate Attorney for its Civil Litigation Defense department. Candidates should have 0+ years of civil litigation experience in General Liability.

The successful candidate will join a team of 120+ lawyers across 19 offices in FL, GA, AL, MS, SC, NC. Associates will analyze matters, develop case strategy, conduct discovery, take depositions, draft motions, attend hearings, negotiate settlements, and may lead trials.

Qualifications

  • 0+ years of civil litigation experience in General Liability.
  • Georgia Bar in good standing or be in the process of being sworn in imminently.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and lead files after initial assessment, develop case strategy and conduct discovery.
  • Take depositions, draft motions, and participate in hearings.
  • Negotiate settlements and assist with trials as needed.

Job description

Vernis & Bowling's Atlanta office is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Civil Litigation Defense department. Candidates should have 0+ years of civil litigation experience in General Liability. The successful candidate will be a part of a team of 120+ lawyers located across 19 offices in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, South Carolina, and North Carolina.

Our associates have the opportunity to eventually direct and lead files, provide initial analysis, develop case strategy, conduct discovery, take depositions, draft motions, attend hearings and negotiate settlements. Associates will also be able to assist with and lead trials.

Candidates must be current members of the Georgia Bar in good standing or be in the process of being sworn in imminently. Opportunities for bonus are available as well.
