Job summary

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Civil Litigation Division, seeks Assistant Attorney Generals to provide legal advice, represent the state in complex cases, and prepare briefs and pleadings in state and federal courts. The position includes opportunities to work remotely up to two days per week based on performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of statutes, case law and court rules.
• Persuasive oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage high-exposure cases and complex litigation.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal representation and counsel in complex cases in state and federal court.
• Prepares briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.
• Investigates, interviews clients, conducts legal research and discovery; appears in court.
• Responds to inquiries from law enforcement and the public.
• Attends meetings and trainings as necessary.
