Job summary

The Arizona Attorney General’s Office, State Government Division/Employment Law Section, seeks an Assistant Attorney General to provide legal advice to ADOA Risk Management and state agencies, represent in administrative hearings and courts on employment-law matters, and assist agencies respond to EEOC charges.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of employment law and public records law.
• Familiarity with administrative and court litigation processes.
• Ability to research, draft, and argue legal issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Represent the State and state employees in administrative proceedings and court litigation.
• Review notices of claim and lawsuits; advise on settlements and exposure.
• Advise HR professionals on personnel issues and legal requirements.
