Job summary

DuBois & King is seeking a Team Lead for our Bedford, NH office to advance the Public Works Division. The role centers on project leadership, client development, and strong technical guidance across water resources, infrastructure, and site planning in New England.

Ideal candidates have 15–25 years in civil/environmental engineering, a BS/MS in the field, and a PE license is preferred. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required.

Qualifications

• 15–25 years of civil/environmental engineering experience.
• BS/MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• P.E. license preferred; environmental permitting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and project management support to the Regional Director.
• Lead civil projects with emphasis on municipal and industrial water and wastewater.
• Develop business and client relationships in New Hampshire and New England.
• Lead project teams from preliminary design through construction.
• Oversee work quality, client coordination and daily operations of projects.
• Prepare regulatory permit applications for a range of projects.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules.

Job description

Job Details: Job Location: Bedford - Bedford, NH, Salary Range: Undisclosed, DuBois & King is currently hiring a Team Lead to join the Public Works Division in our Bedford, NH office. We are seeking a motivated engineer who is interested in helping expand the group’s technical capacity and market presence while leading meaningful projects that impact local communities. This role would benefit an engineer with 15 - 25 years of experience who wants a team leadership role with growth potential. The Public Works team serves communities across New England, specializing in water resources, public infrastructure, stormwater and wastewater management, and site planning and development.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and project management support to the Regional Director
• Provide management and technical development of a variety of civil projects with a strong emphasis on municipal and industrial water and wastewater
• Develop business and build client relationships through New Hampshire, and greater New England
• Lead project teams in preparing conceptual, preliminary and final design and managing projects through construction
• Oversee work, quality control, client coordination and all daily operational aspects of projects assigned to you
• Prepare regulatory permit applications for a wide range of projects
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and project schedules that adhere to deadlines and budgets
• Work alongside the director to develop a stronger Bedford presence for the division
• Mentor and train junior engineers on various project assignments
• Share accountability with the other team members within the division

Qualifications

• 15 - 25 years of experience in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• BS/MS in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Preferred Civil or Environmental P.E. license-li>
• Previous leadership and project management experience
• Experience with environmental permitting is a plus
• AutoCAD Civil 3D
