Job summary

Epstein is seeking a Project Manager to join our Civil Engineering team in Chicago on a hybrid schedule. The ideal candidate will lead multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects, coordinating with clients and agencies from inception to completion.

We value strong technical and project management skills, mentor junior staff, and contribute to proposals, scopes, and BD efforts. PE license is preferred, with a compensation range described below.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
• 10+ years of civil engineering experience.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for civil infrastructure projects involving transportation, site development, and utility improvements
• Lead planning, analysis, design, and preparation of contract documents for roadways and site improvements
• Manage projects from inception through completion, including scope, schedule, staffing, budget, quality control, and client coordination
• Lead roadway and transportation design, including geometry, grading, drainage, utility coordination
• Provide design and technical oversight for water main/force main improvements
• Prepare and review engineering calculations, reports, plans, specs, quantities, and cost estimates
• Coordinate permitting and approvals with agencies and utility owners
• Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, contractors, agencies, and other disciplines
• Mentor junior engineers and designers
• Assist with proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, schedules and BD efforts
• Support projects during construction with RFIs, submittals, field issues, and site visits
