Job summary

Hunter Environmental seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead heavy civil and infrastructure construction projects from site walk to closeout. You will own the schedule, budget, and coordination across field teams, ensuring proactive problem solving and rigorous documentation.

Applicants should have five+ years of PM experience on civil projects for public agencies and municipalities, with a track record of client-facing communication and decisive decision-making in dynamic environments.

Qualifications

Five or more years managing heavy civil, excavating, or infrastructure construction projects.
Experience running projects for public agencies, transit authorities, and municipalities, including the required documentation and permitting.
Ability to read civil drawings, specifications, and site plans to translate them into schedules and field plans.
Track record managing several varied projects at once, across different scopes.
Comfortable splitting time between the office and active jobsites, including urban work.
Direct client-facing experience and ability to solve problems while maintaining relationships.
Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and cost-tracking software.

Responsibilities

Own each project from the first site walk to closeout, managing schedule and budget throughout.
Identify and address problems early to save time and money.
Ensure all paperwork is accurate and complete before moving forward.
Lead in-person discussions with clients and stakeholders when necessary.
Coordinate with foremen, superintendents, and field crews to keep projects on track.
