Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing national heavy civil and environmental contractor to lead complex infrastructure projects in government and private sector clients. This role oversees preconstruction, execution, and turnover, ensuring safety, quality, and on-budget delivery.

You will manage budgets, schedules, change orders, and subcontractors, travel regularly to active sites, and communicate with clients to meet contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management or related heavy civil experience.
• Strong background in earthwork, utilities, and site development.
• Travel to active project sites regularly.

• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, cost forecasts, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate field labor, equipment, subcontractors, vendors, and internal project teams.
• Oversee heavy civil scopes including earthwork, excavation, grading, soil stabilization, underground utilities, and site development.
• Manage contracts, change orders, RFIs, client communication, and project documentation.
• Ensure projects meet safety, quality, schedule, and contractual requirements.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 8+ years of construction management, project management, estimating, or related heavy civil experience.
• Strong background in heavy civil construction, including significant earthwork/dirt scopes.
• Experience managing project budgets, costs, schedules, change orders, and subcontractors.
• Experience with government, federal, municipal, or other complex infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
• Ability to work in a project-based environment with regular travel to active project sites.
