RFB Construction Co, Inc. is seeking General Laborers to join our field crews on road and site infrastructure projects across Kansas. If you’re hands-on, reliable, and motivated, you’ll help with erosion control, grading, loading materials, and keeping sites safe and organized.

You’ll work outdoors in varying weather, train on equipment, document progress via mobile apps, and grow with a family-oriented team that offers health benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for career advancement.

• Operating hand tools and basic power equipment safely.
• Assisting equipment operators with positioning and communication.
• Keeping project sites and shop areas clean and organized.
• Using mobile technology to document work progress and capture project photos.

At RFB, we specialize in seeding, hydroseeding, mulching, erosion control, SWPPP, SWPPP Design, utility work, site concrete, concrete flatwork, ditch liners, misc curb & gutter, concrete paving, box bridges, culverts, precast, site grading, dump truck and end dump hauling, offering comprehensive general and sub-contracting services to meet our clients' diverse needs, including assistance in fulfilling their DBE goals.

What You’ll Do

As a General Laborer, you'll work alongside experienced crews performing a variety of field tasks that keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include:

What We’re Looking For

Successful candidates are:

Capable of basic math and using mobile applications for project documentation

Previous construction or erosion control experience is helpful but not required—we're willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.

A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position regularly requires:

Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds

Standing and walking for extended periods

Frequent bending, kneeling, digging, and manual labor

Working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Occasional overnight travel, weekend work, or night shifts based on project needs
