Job summary

Kings Construction Co., Inc. in Oskaloosa, Kansas, is seeking a full-time seeding and erosion laborer/operator to support heavy grading and site work for government and agricultural projects.

You will perform tasks such as installing silt fences, shoveling dirt and aggregate materials, operating tractors with seeders, and maintaining tools and equipment. A valid Class A CDL is required or preferred; SWPPP certification is a plus. Expect 50+ hour weeks and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related experience preferred
• Valid Class A CDL
• SWPPP Certification a plus
• Knowledge of standard construction equipment and materials
• Self-motivated with a positive and productive attitude
• Ability to life 50 pounds or more
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a drug test and physical capacity test
• Ability to work 50+ hours every week

Responsibilities

• Perform different labor tasks, including but not limited to, installing silt fence, shoveling dirt and other aggregate materials, use hand/power tools, basic seeding labor
• Operate machinery such as tractors with various attachments, such as seeders, mulchers, mowers
• Ability to work near busy roadways or on various levels of slopes
• Work well individually or with a team
• Clean and maintain tools, jobsite, trucks and equipment
• Perform job duties in accordance with Kings Construction and OSHA Safety Standards

Kings Construction is a family-owned and operated heavy construction contractor located in Oskaloosa, Kansas focusing on Federal, State, and local government heavy grading contracts as well as meeting the needs of our agricultural community. We pride ourselves in our commitment to safety, family, and community. Currently we employ a range of 65-90 full-time employees and are seeking a full-time seeding and erosion laborer/operator.
