Job summary

TCI | Timberline Communications is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman in Canton, MA. The Foreman will oversee concrete foundation installations for wireless sites and manage a small crew to meet performance standards and safety protocols.

  • Hydraulics license.

TCI is seeking an experienced Civil Foreman with expertise in Concrete, Underground, and Earthwork. Working on both public and private jobs, the Foreman will oversee street openings, utilities, small repairs, and sidewalk replacements. The role requires independence, dependability, timely organizational skills, and a team‑oriented attitude.

Your Work That Keeps Us Connected (Job Responsibilities)
  • Oversee and coordinate the installation of concrete foundations on wireless sites, including heavy equipment operation and foundation construction (drilled pier, gravity pad, building pad).
  • Manage a 2–3 person crew, ensuring safety, proper tool and equipment use, and performance standards.
  • Communicate project plans and standards to labor crews, sub‑contractors, vendors, and customers.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and foundation designs.
  • Order job‑site materials such as concrete, stone, block, and rebar.
  • Execute multiple concrete forming and pouring methods in accordance with EPA and local regulations.
  • Ensure all work is inspected by the authority having jurisdiction.
  • Perform site grading and layout work using a laser level.
  • Operate equipment such as skid steer and mini excavator for foundation excavation and utility trenching.
  • Adhere to safety procedures, conduct daily JSA/toolbox talks, and maintain good housekeeping.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Construction Manager daily to meet schedules.
  • Prepare required close‑out packages and take photos to verify installation quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands / Environmental Conditions
  • Work in various physical positions: sitting, squatting, standing, walking, driving.
  • Endure regular exposure to all weather conditions—hot, cold, humid, and rainy—throughout the year.
  • May be exposed to loud or distracting sounds at job sites.
  • Wear common protective safety gear: safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and high‑visibility vests.
Signal Strength (Qualifications)
  • 5+ years’ experience in civil works, preferably on wireless sites.
  • 3+ years’ experience leading a construction crew.
  • Hydraulics license.
  • OSHA 30 certification (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • CDL Class A preferred.
