Responsibilities

• Oversee excavation, formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and related tasks.
• Lead daily safety discussions and ensure site procedures and permits are followed.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment with project management.
• Check completed work for quality and address deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, crew time, quantities, and progress updates.
• Communicate field changes, delays, material needs, and issues to management.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Civil Field Supervisor to lead civil construction crews on projects between Braithwaite and Gramercy, Louisiana. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete work, formwork, excavation, and field coordination, along with the ability to guide crews safely and maintain quality and productivity. This role works closely with project management to organize daily activities and keep work aligned with drawings, specifications, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan daily work activities and coordinate civil carpenters, concrete finishers, equipment operators, and other assigned crew members.
• Review drawings, specifications, layout, and elevations before work begins and communicate the work plan to the crew.
• Oversee excavation, formwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, and related civil construction activities.
• Lead daily safety discussions, identify hazards, and ensure required site procedures and permits are followed.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment with project management and other trades.
• Check completed work for accuracy and quality, and address deficiencies promptly.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, crew time records, quantities, and progress updates.
• Communicate field changes, delays, material needs, and potential issues to project management.

Qualifications

• Valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card required.
• Ability to pass DISA drug and background testing.
• Reliable transportation to the assigned job site.
• Experience supervising civil construction crews and coordinating field activities.
• Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, details, measurements, and elevations.
• Working knowledge of concrete construction, formwork, excavation, and safe equipment coordination.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supervising civil work in industrial facilities.
• Experience planning concrete pours and coordinating multiple trades.
• Ability to document progress, identify problems early, and keep crews working safely and efficiently.
