Job summary

CyberCoders in Berkeley, CA seeks a detail-oriented Estimator to join our civil construction team. You will develop accurate cost estimates for public works, water, wastewater, and utility projects, supporting bid development and pricing strategies.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of estimating experience in civil construction, proficiency with HCSS, and strong Excel skills. Travel to project sites may be required and collaboration with project management is essential. DOE applies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating civil construction with emphasis on public works, water, wastewater, utilities or treatment projects.
• Experience reading drawings, specs and contract documents; ability to develop complete bid packages.
• Proficiency with HCSS and strong Excel skills; ability to gather quotes and prepare competitive bids.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for public works and utilities projects.
• Develop bid packages including labor, materials, subcontractors, overhead, and contingency pricing.
• Use estimating tools to generate auditable estimates and maintain databases.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and field personnel on pricing assumptions.
