Job summary

WWC Engineering is seeking motivated Civil and Environmental Engineering students for its Summer 2027 Internship Program. You will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, geologists, and staff on meaningful projects that support communities across our service regions.

This hands-on internship covers engineering design, construction inspection, environmental assessment, surveying, regulatory compliance, and technical writing, with mentorship and exposure to real-world projects and a path to

Qualifications

Current student enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Surveying, CAD, Environmental Sciences, or related fields.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing project needs.
Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and enthusiasm for teamwork.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering, surveying, and other staff with day-to-day project work.
Perform preliminary designs and calculations under guidance of a Project Manager.
Learn Autodesk Civil3D and other design software applications.
Collect and document field data, including inspections, surveying, and site photos.
Contribute to technical reports and regulatory permit applications.
Support compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
