Job summary

WWC Engineering is seeking motivated Civil and Environmental Engineering students to join our Summer 2027 Internship Program. As an Engineering Intern, you will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, geologists, and technical staff on meaningful projects that support communities across our service regions.

This internship provides hands-on experience in engineering design, construction inspection, environmental assessment, surveying, research, regulatory compliance, and technical writing.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a 2- or 4-year engineering program.
• Interest in civil or environmental engineering.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist engineering, surveying, and other staff with day-to-day project work.
• Perform preliminary designs and calculations under the guidance of a Project Manager.
• Learn Autodesk Civil3D and other design software applications.
• Research and summarize design concepts, regulations, and technical information.
• Collect and document field data including inspections, surveying, soil and water sampling, and site photos.
• Contribute to technical reports and regulatory permit applications.
• Support compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
