Job summary

Great Value Hiring is seeking civil engineers and architects who own a MacBook to support a research project. You will perform real design and drafting tasks on macOS to help benchmark and improve AI models.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of professional experience or are graduate students, with degrees in Civil Engineering or Architecture. Immediate start preferred; part-time 10–20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of professional experience in civil engineering or architecture, or current postgraduate studies.
• Ability to clearly explain design decisions while working.
• Proficiency with MacBook/MacOS and owning a Mac is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete and narrate real civil engineering and architectural tasks on your Mac to create high-quality training data for AI models.
• Handle tasks related to design and drafting workflows with macOS-based tools.
• Commit to a part-time schedule of approximately 10–20 hours per week.
• Start immediately if possible.

Civil Engineers & Architects (Must own MacBook) [$50-$60/hr]

Civil engineers and architects with 2-3 years of professional experience, or currently enrolled postgrad students in civil engineering or architecture, to support a research project and work through real design and drafting workflows on your own Mac to help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models

Good Candidature

• Required: You must own a MacBook or Mac with an Apple M-series chip or Intel processor, running macOS 15 or higher. Applicants without a Mac cannot be considered.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field
• Proficiency in Mac-compatible tools such as AutoCAD for Mac, ArchiCAD, Vectorworks, SketchUp, or Rhino; experience with structural, site, or building design is a plus
• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution
• Ability to clearly explain your design decisions while you work
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
