WHKS & Co in Rochester, MN is seeking an Engineering Technician to support field and office engineering tasks for municipal, transportation, and infrastructure projects. You will work with licensed Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers on design, development, and construction observation, with some overnight travel possible.

Competenze

• A working knowledge of engineering technology in civil engineering/surveying.
• 0–5+ years of experience in civil engineering field.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Excellent computer and communication skills.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.

Mansioni

• Field survey duties including boundary and topographic surveys, platting, and construction staking for private and public projects.
• CAD drafting (CAD) support for survey, municipal, transportation, and structural-related projects.
• Perform construction observation including verifying contractor work and compliance with plans and specs; material testing; documenting reports; daily logs; reviewing pay applications.
