Job description

Stockwell Engineers is a full-service engineering, landscape architecture, and land surveying firm with over 40 years of experience serving communities across the region. We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join our growing team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

This role is ideal for a skilled technician with a strong background in CAD drafting who is ready to contribute to a wide range of infrastructure and development projects. If you're detail-oriented, collaborative, and eager to support impactful work across the Midwest, we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you'll support our engineering and surveying staff by preparing technical plans and documentation, including:

• Conceptual and preliminary designs
• Plan and profile sheets for street, sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer projects
• Grading and erosion control plans
• Site layouts and cross sections
• Detail drawings and topographic surveys
• Boundary surveys and plats

What We're Looking For

• Associate’s degree or technical diploma in Civil Engineering Technology (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• A positive, enthusiastic attitude and solid work ethic
• Bonus: Experience with MicroStation
