Join the South Dakota Local Transportation Assistance Program ( SDLTAP ) as a part-time Civil Engineering Technician and play a crucial role in connecting local governments with cutting-edge transportation solutions. This is your chance to drive innovation, enhance infrastructure, and empower local officials with the knowledge and tools they need to improve highways and bridges for the benefit of their communities. This position is eligible to work remotely within the state of South Dakota.
The SDLTAP translates the latest highway and bridge technology into understandable terms for local government entities throughout the state. In linking transportation technology and local government, SDLTAP keeps local government officials informed about new publications, techniques and training opportunities that may benefit their communities.
Provide various types of technical and other assistance to clientele of SD LTAP and support the overall outreach and service function of the College of Engineering ( COE ). Assist and develop material in the support of various workshops/conferences/training. Write technical articles and bulletins for publication/delivery by the SD LTAP.
