Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Civil Engineer leader to recruit, mentor, and lead a team of engineering professionals. You will provide leadership and oversight on municipal and private development projects, and drive market growth by building client relationships, responding to RFPs, and networking.

You will serve as a technical resource for staff training, quality control, and project management while developing, executing, and overseeing strategic client relationship plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Iowa (or ability to obtain).
• 8+ years civil engineering experience, with 5+ years in PM and/or business development.
• Experience across water distribution, sanitary sewage collection, water resources, transportation, land development, permitting, and construction.
• Proven experience with client interaction, business development, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive independently and in a team while meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to thrive both independently and within a team environment, while managing deadlines effectively.
